Winter Coat
Personal Project
As someone who was born in Buffalo, NY, I understand the importance of a worm winter coat. My own coat was sadly drab and so I set about making a warm and awesome winter coat.
I made the pattern myself, starting with a ruboff of a tailcoat.

I started with a tailcoat I pulled from stock, and then made a ruboff of.

I then lengthened all the panels, as well as adding width in the front panel so it can close.

The finished coat is made of a coat-weight wool I got second hand, silk velvet as facings and cuffs, and a heavy silk as a lining. It is therefore very warm.

It closes in the front with three buttons and a cloak clasp, and has large pockets.

The coat also includes a large amount of hand work -- hemming, all the velvet, and hand-done buttonholes.
